 Information about our Products We have selected and designed products for sale at The Shrine Shop to supply the needs of pilgrims ranging from a hand-carved statue of Our Lady of Walsingham to be displayed in a church to a simple pack of communion wafers. Some are suitable as gifts, others for personal use but many may be used to represent the continuing presence of Our Lady of Walsingham in our lives.
Images of Our Lady of Walsingham and the logo of the Shrine are all based on the wooden statue of Our Lady, carved in 1922 for Father Hope-Patten to be placed in the parish church of St Mary's, Walsingham and moved to the Holy House in the new Shrine Church in 1931. This statue was itself based on the Great Seal of the Abbey of Walsingham from the original Shrine destroyed in 1538.
The products available on-line represent only a small percentage of those in our Shrine Shop at Walsingham. We will continue to send an annual mail order catalogue for those who prefer to pay by cheque or postal order. We reserve the right to withdraw any item from sale at any time.

| Sales Process If you are new to shopping on the internet, you may find this section useful.
All payments are to be made by credit or debit card via a secure payment system, PayPal, to which you will be automatically taken after the Checkout page.
Our shopping pages are divided into categories of product, which are listed down the left side of the page, and also represented by pictures on the shop home page.
Click on either a written or pictorial category to go to a selection of items with their details and prices. Click on any individual product and you can see a larger image.
If you want to buy a product, click on the blue "Add to basket" button and you will be taken to the 'Shopping Basket' page.
From the Shopping Basket page you can check that the item, quantity and price are correct, change the quantity you want to buy, re-calculate the bill and then continue shopping (you will be taken back to the last category you looked at) or go to Checkout.
In the Checkout page, we need you to enter all your details as fully as possible. Only complete the separate delivery address section if you are paying for the item and having it sent to someone else.
All our prices are listed in Pounds Sterling and include Value Added Tax at 17.5% which is shown separately on the checkout page for the benefit of our overseas customers. If you are located outside the EU, your bill will be recalculated to deduct tax when you enter your shipping destination. When you go from Checkout to the secure payment area, PayPal, your own currency can be calculated. Additional local import duties and/or taxes may be payable by you and are not the responsibility of The Shrine Shop.
Once you go into Paypal and complete the transaction, we will receive your order and starts processing it, and you will receive an e-mail confirmation. |
| Postage and Delivery Goods purchased on this website will be sent by Royal Mail within the UK and Parcelforce abroad, normally within 48 hours of your order being received. |
| Refunds and Returns We hope that you will be delighted with anything you buy, but in the case that you are not satisfied, please return the item (which must be unused, complete and with its original packaging) within three months of purchase, explaining the problem and we will refund or replace as requested within reason. If in doubt, contact us by telephone to discuss. |
